Special Edition: Lego Shell Ferrari 30196 Review

Sunday, November 4, 2012 0
Since I haven't been able to get the 30190, I'll review the minifig set of the Shell promo, the 30196 Ferrari Pit Crew. I must say, this promo set has the most value. Three minifigs for P180 at the most is a very, very good deal!

Special Edition: Lego Shell Ferrari 30191 Review

Thursday, November 1, 2012 0
Aside from Jordan kicks, one other hobby I have is collecting Lego, particularly the Ferrari licensed sets. Officially, Lego hasn't released a Ferrari licensed set since 2009... Until now.

Shell has now come up with promotional Lego Ferrari sets wherein one can get a polybag for every P1,500 purchase of fuel for either P140 or P180, depending on what fuel one filled up with. Almost a week into the promotion, I managed to grab five (5) out of the seven (7) sets available, and I'll first review the 30191 Scuderia Ferrari Truck

LOVE: Suelas

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 0
I've been dying to post this since last week but I just can't since I haven't used (or un-DS as Jeff would call it) my pair of Suelas shoes yet. But today, I've already used my shoes two times so I guess it's just proper that I share my experience to you my friends.

Last Christmas, Deal Grocer offered these pair of shoes on their website. I forgot how much. Our friend, Isa was able to avail of the promo. Actually, it was her boyfriend who purchased the shoes. Sweet! Isa said it's very comfortable and chic, so I decided to get one too. I bought a coupon from Deal Grocer but I forgot to pay for it. LOLS.

Last Friday, I bought my first pair. Yes, my first because I'm expecting to buy another one soon. Here are some of the photos of my Brogue from Suelas which costs Php999.00. Very affordable right?

LOVE: My Wedding Shoes!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 0
Hello everyone! I know this is not food related but I just want to share this photo -- the pair of shoes I'll be wearing on our big day! The first time I saw this pair in Nine West BHS, I fell in love with it instantly. I just knew this was my pair of wedding shoes. The last time I felt this way was when I saw Jeff for the first time. No joke! Haha!

So my pair of shoes is a size 6 from Nine West. It is gray with three inches heels. I love the ribbon like design on top of it. Plus it’s very comfortable! I really can imagine myself wearing this the whole day on my wedding. The regular price was Php 5,450.00 but because it was Chinese New Year, we got it at 25% off — for only Php 4,087.50. Woot woot! I cannot wait to get married because one, I will marry the man of my dreams and second, I get to wear my awesome pair of shoes.

A Nom-mage Special: Happiness in a Box

Tuesday, December 27, 2011 5
Jeff has been talking about a certain pair of shoes since his birthday last March. Or maybe even earlier. I never felt the 'importance' of these shoes to him until December.

He wants the Air Jordan XI Concords. I did a little research and discovered that the Concords was released in 1996 -- when Jeff and I were both in the 6th grade. He told me that it has been his dream to have a pair since he saw it. Jeff is a big Bulls fan and a bigger Jordan fan. So when he heard that Nike is rereleasing the Concords, he decided to do anything to, in his words, cop it.

Plan A
Two years ago, when the Space Jam XI Retro was released, I passed by Nike BHS and saw so many people lined up. That was December 19, four days before the actual release date. I worried a little for Jeff. He might not get his pair if the competition is this tight. So we planned to hire someone to fall in line for us. P600 a day, with free food.

Plan B
My friend RD is in Singapore. When the Black Cement 3 Retro was released, I asked him if there were still some stocks in SG. I also asked him if he can get Jeff a pair. He told me he might not be able to get the Concords because a lot of crazy sneakerheads are also waiting for it there. He suggested we buy it online at http://www.rmkstore.com/.

Plan C
Believe it or not, we actually thought of just ordering it online at http://www.rmkstore.com/. Oh well.

Plan D
Jeff learned that Titan, a basketball and barbershop in one, is dropping the Concords too. Luckily on December 10, we were at Burgos Circle when Titan Fort announced the release of the green poker chips, which was the first step in copping those Concords! Our friends OJ and Faye were at Bonifacio High Street and rushed over when they found out too. The poker chips were released at 2:23PM. Jeff was first in line, OJ was second, Faye was fourth and I was fifth. Four green chips while we only need two pairs of shoes. Looks like we have a big chance to get them!

We thought that we already have a sure slot to get a pair. We were wrong. Titan was too wise, firing away contests on Facebook, Twitter and other online pages.

December 18, after coming back from Ate Inggie's birthday trip in Quezon and just when we were about to go to bed, Jeff saw a new post from Titan on Facebook. I was too sleepy that time and all I understood was we have to email something. Jeff also messaged OJ and Faye, but they didn't answer. Looks like the couple was already sleeping.

Tootsie's Tagaytay: My Birthday Lunch

Sunday, November 27, 2011 0
I'm turning twenty seven in a few hours. Jeff took me to Enchanted Kingdom. Yay for another surprise trip! Before going to EK, I asked him if he wants to have lunch in Tagaytay. Our friend, Jel suggested we check out Tootsie's. It is along the highway just before Yellow Cab and Leslie's area. We arrived around 1PM. We were asked to sit outside because there are a lot of people inside the restaurant. It was not a problem for me. I wanted to feel the Tagaytay breeze, though it wasn't very cold that day.

We ordered two of their specialties: Kansi Bulalo and Roasted Lamb with Potatoes. Both were priced at less than Php500 which is good for 2-3 pax. Not bad, yeah?

Candlelit lunch. <3

Prenup Shoot: Something Old, Something Blue

Thursday, September 1, 2011 0
I'm a big fan of pictures. So when this day came, I was so excited! I was kinda upset tho because it has been raining since yesterday. Our wedding is vintage themed, so as our shoot. The fun part is the basketball shoot we did in Ronac Center. Here are some of our favorite pictures. Thank you Mot Rasay for the beautiful pictures!

Jeff and Joy go to Boracay

Friday, July 1, 2011 0
We're finally going to Boracay! Woot woot! Yeah, I'm like a kid because it's my first time. I'm really happy Jeff is taking me to places I've never been to. I've always wanted to travel but I don't have the time, the money and the right person to go with. Jeff is the best partner to travel. Besides the snoring, everyday is heaven with him. Hahaha.

Really the best summer of my life. Photo taken by the driver of the Paraw we rented.

Adarna Restaurant and my Engagement

Sunday, April 3, 2011 0
Jeff picked me up early afternoon today. We had to get rid/sell my Nokia E5, get my BlackBerry at his house (because he forgot it at home but we ended up staying longer because his car was broken), and finally have dinner at Adarna Restaurant.

Adarna Restaurant is along Kalayaan Avenue in Quezon City. It is owned by Tita Beth Angsioco. Yes, THE Elizabeth Angsioco. We met her through Twitter and Jeff's radio show friends, Hashtag. Anyway, I've been to Adarna once with Jeff's friends. Yep, without him. He was in Cabanatuan that time to conduct training. Here are a few pictures I took.

View from the inside. Lovin' the whole old-ish vibe inside the place.

Jeff's McDo Kiddie Party

Sunday, March 13, 2011 0
I threw a surprise party for Jeff at McDonald's and invited all his friends. Yup, the Girlfriend of the Year award goes to me. LOLS. This is sort of food related, but not really. I just want to share. ;)

Jeff's Birthday Gifts

Wednesday, March 9, 2011 0
So for Jeff's birthday, I prepared five gifts for him. So much work, I know. Haha.

Gift # 1 is a supporter. Yep, that underwear that you wear when you play sports or whatnot.

Jeff's Birthday Dinner @ Recipe's Greenbelt

Saturday, March 5, 2011 0
This isn't my first dinner with his family. My first was Jeff officially introduced me to his family four months ago. But this the first time I get to celebrate his birthday. And it's going to be big. ;)

Anyway, we went out today and watched a movie. Then we met his parents and his dad bought him his dream shoes, a pair of Jordans! Yay! We later had dinner at Recipe's Greenbelt. I remember the first time he called me was when I was headed to that same restaurant because I was to meet my friends for our barkada anniversary.

Red Kimono-ed Birthday

Monday, November 29, 2010 0
It's my birthday! Early this morning, Jeff asked me if I wanted to have dinner at a Japanese restaurant. God knows I can survive my entire life eating sushi, so of course, I said yes! So after our Intramuros trip, we headed to Red Kimono in Bonifacio Global City.

The place is at The Fort Strip, near the NBC Tent and the then famous Embassy. It was pretty small though. I guess there are only 12-15 tables inside, and a few more outside. It was lighted with lots of yellow bulbs which gave the place a relaxing feel. Jeff has this set of coupons sold to him in their office, so we were able to save a lot. Haha. The service was so good and fast. All our orders were served right away. The sushis and makis were all served in six pieces, really good for two.

Dampa sa Cubao

Monday, October 25, 2010 0
Been craving for seafood so the moment I had a chance, I asked Jeff if we could eat at Dampa. Well, the original Dampa is in his area in Paranaque but it's too early for me to go to his neck of woods. :P We were with my friends, Camille and Randie that's why there were tons of food.

Date # 3. Win!
