Since I haven't been able to get the 30190, I'll review the minifig set of the Shell promo, the 30196 Ferrari Pit Crew. I must say, this promo set has the most value. Three minifigs for P180 at the most is a very, very good deal!

Special Edition: Lego Shell Ferrari 30191 Review

Aside from Jordan kicks, one other hobby I have is collecting Lego, particularly the Ferrari licensed sets. Officially, Lego hasn't released a Ferrari licensed set since 2009... Until now.
Shell has now come up with promotional Lego Ferrari sets wherein one can get a polybag for every P1,500 purchase of fuel for either P140 or P180, depending on what fuel one filled up with. Almost a week into the promotion, I managed to grab five (5) out of the seven (7) sets available, and I'll first review the 30191 Scuderia Ferrari Truck

Jeff and I, together with our newly engaged friends Lora
and Jump, went to an impromptu trip to Davao last weekend. Jeff was sent there
for work and he suggested that I go there to spend the second long weekend of
August with him. Few weeks back, Lora and I were talking about our plans to go
to Baguio, so when our plan changed, I immediately told her. Lora told me that
she might need to file something to Kidapawan which is a few hours from Davao.
I told her to come with us and she agreed. Jeff flew to Davao two days before
us. Lora was there Friday morning, and Jump and I arrived Friday evening.

After months and months of asking, Jeff finally took me to The Mind Museum. We didn't bring our camera because we know that our ever dependable Galaxy Nexus will do the job. Here are some of the photos. Still figuring out how to edit the video we took.

The day after our wedding, we flew to Cebu for our honeymoon. Jeff and I were excited that finally, all the stress is gone and we can now relax. We bought this trip from Deal Grocer in December 2011 for Php 15,500.00 for 3 days and 2 nights accommodation. We later discovered that the regular price is Php17,000 per head per night. Wow!
We stayed in Sarrosa International Hotel in Mandaue City on the first night and we were picked up the next day. Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is in Oslob and it was a three hour drive from Cebu. It was a long trip! We later learned that it was easier if we landed in Dumaguete because it was just an hour away from Oslob. At least I was able to see Cebu City.
Here are a few pictures that we took. The island was awesome. I told Jeff that we should come back.

I needed a break.
Work and wedding preps have taken it's toll on me and I felt so stressed out the past few weeks. No, make that burned out. So Jeff took me to a quick trip to Tagaytay. I started browsing for places to stay in Tagaytay and I suddenly remembered Moon Garden Tagaytay. My former coworker, Leslie told me about this a few months ago.
They charge Php3,000.00 for an overnight stay for two plus breakfast. By the way, this officially became our last trip as a couple because we are getting married next month. :)

I told Jeff I'll treat him out to lunch for his birthday. I wanted to eat at Pepper Lunch but the line was so long so I told him to check out the other restos. We ended up eating at Bulgogi Brothers. Here are some of the photos we took.

Terry's Selection

Last night, I've been thinking what to give Jeff for Valentines. I don't have enough budget, plus I don't have time to go out and buy whatever. So I recorded a song for him. If you need lessons on Gifts of a Poor Girl to her Fiance, please talk to me. I have a lot of ideas. :P
Since I don't have a gift for him, I called all the restaurants around the office to book a reservation. Dinner for two is the answer! Apparently, Apartment 1B and Chocolate Fire are fully booked. I can't remember the name of the other restaurant along Leviste, so when I called Apartment 1B, I asked them what was that restaurant. IKR? Haha!
I called Terry's Selection and thank goodness they are not yet fully booked! Yay!
We ordered paella and cuq au vin (geez, somebody teach me how to pronounce this!). Before dinner, Jeff ordered white wine and cheese. Naks pasosyal! Also, Jeff has a 'Valentine pack' for me. It contains: an edible flower, two balloons, and a box of Sonja's cupcakes!
So looks like our Valentines-on-a-budget plan backfired. Happy Valentine's day everyone!

LOVE: Suelas

I've been dying to post this since last week but I just can't since I haven't used (or un-DS as Jeff would call it) my pair of Suelas shoes yet. But today, I've already used my shoes two times so I guess it's just proper that I share my experience to you my friends.
Last Christmas, Deal Grocer offered these pair of shoes on their website. I forgot how much. Our friend, Isa was able to avail of the promo. Actually, it was her boyfriend who purchased the shoes. Sweet! Isa said it's very comfortable and chic, so I decided to get one too. I bought a coupon from Deal Grocer but I forgot to pay for it. LOLS.
Last Friday, I bought my first pair. Yes, my first because I'm expecting to buy another one soon. Here are some of the photos of my Brogue from Suelas which costs Php999.00. Very affordable right?

LOVE: My Wedding Shoes!
Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Hello everyone! I know this is not food related but I just want to share this photo -- the pair of shoes I'll be wearing on our big day! The first time I saw this pair in Nine West BHS, I fell in love with it instantly. I just knew this was my pair of wedding shoes. The last time I felt this way was when I saw Jeff for the first time. No joke! Haha!
So my pair of shoes is a size 6 from Nine West. It is gray with three inches heels. I love the ribbon like design on top of it. Plus it’s very comfortable! I really can imagine myself wearing this the whole day on my wedding. The regular price was Php 5,450.00 but because it was Chinese New Year, we got it at 25% off — for only Php 4,087.50. Woot woot! I cannot wait to get married because one, I will marry the man of my dreams and second, I get to wear my awesome pair of shoes.

Sorry for the late post. I know I should've posted this a week ago but I don't have the pictures. Yep, Jeff and I went on a trip without my loving camera. The morning we're leaving for Eumir and Sef's wedding, I just picked whichever I thought I'd need, realizing that I totally forgot my camera. So there, a pictureless trip.
Good thing Jeff borrowed his dad's camera. :D
We were late for the wedding. Sorry Eums and Sef! But we were able to see the you-may-now-kiss-the-bride part. Few minutes after the wedding, everyone headed to the reception at Balay Indang.

My friend, Janis was supposed to go home for my wedding in April and this is her only request. Well of course there are some food too. So Jeff and I worked hard on getting this for her. The other day, she told me she can't make it. I was sad. Huhu. She told me I can keep the planner for myself. I realized we can give it away to a lucky friend/reader. So here, let's do this!
Giving you big hugs! |
Manila Bay Buffet Ship Cruise with Prestige Cruises
Few months ago, I bought a buffet deal from Metrodeal. It was from Prestige Cruises and today, we used it. I paid Php 250.00 each.
Jeff and I were seated upstairs as we paid a hundred more pesos to be there to have a perfect view of the Bay. Prestige Cruises served a very simple meal -- rice, pasta and two meat dishes. It was just disappointing that they charged us Php 75.00 for a can of Coke. But everything else is fine. Here are some photos that we took.
